💔 Tray Chaney’s Family Caught in Devastating Georgia Tornado
Actor Tray Chaney, best known for his role as Poot on HBO’s “The Wire,” is facing unimaginable heartache after a tornado ripped through his Locust Grove neighborhood in Henry County, Georgia, on Thursday afternoon.
The powerful storm left behind a path of destruction, and more importantly, left Tray’s 18-year-old son, Malachi Chaney, fighting for his life.

Tray shared that Malachi was thrown nearly a football field’s length from their home when the storm hit around 3:30 p.m.
He was found unconscious in the woods, about 300 feet from their property.
The teen is now in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital, suffering from broken ribs and a fractured facial bone.
Tray himself was briefly unconscious and trapped under debris before regaining consciousness and desperately searching for his son.
“I woke up in a panic, crawled from under my house, screaming my son’s name,” Tray said. “We finally found him in the woods behind our house.”

In a video shared on Instagram, Tray showed the ruins of what used to be his home.
Just hours before the storm, he and Malachi had been enjoying a joyful morning on the “Big Tigger Morning Show” with Felicia “Snoop” Pearson from “The Wire.”
“At 3 o’clock today, in a split second, my house is gone,” he said, visibly shaken.
The Laurel Creek subdivision was one of the hardest hit areas, with at least 13 structures damaged and two homes completely destroyed.
A video captured by drivers on I-75 showed the tornado funnel cloud crossing the highway, offering a terrifying glimpse into how quickly the storm escalated.
