On Monday, a Manhattan jury found Jonathan Majors guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault, marking a significant development in the 34-year-old Marvel actor’s legal saga.
Notably, Majors was acquitted on two other charges, including intentional assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree.
During the announcement of the verdict, Jonathan Majors, dressed in a dark gray suit and flanked by his attorneys and girlfriend Meagan Good, maintained a stoic demeanor, revealing no visible reaction to the outcome.
The sentencing for Majors is scheduled for February 6, 2024, per Judge Michael Gaffey, with the actor potentially facing up to a year in jail.
This legal turmoil stems from an incident in March when Majors was arrested in New York City for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari in the backseat of a private vehicle.
Jabbari testified that she grabbed Majors’ phone upon discovering a text message from another woman expressing romantic sentiments.
The altercation resulted in a forceful impact to Jabbari’s head, causing visible bruising, swelling, and significant pain.
As news of the guilty verdict circulates, social media is abuzz with reactions.
