đ A Night Out That Ended In Tragedy
What was supposed to be a simple night out turned into a devastating tragedy for 26-year-old Jarrell Pryor, a hardworking single dad from Indianapolis.
On a Saturday night in January, Jarrell had just wrapped up his warehouse shift and was excited to meet Alexis Hawkins, a young woman heâd recently connected with on Instagram.
But what he didnât know was that Hawkins had other plans.
Less than two hours after they met up, Jarrell was found shot multiple times outside his car near 49th and Primrose, just north of the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
He died shortly after at the hospital.
đ± The Setup: What Police Discovered
According to investigators, Hawkins, 19, was allegedly texting her real boyfriendâ18-year-old Brian Winston Jr.âthroughout the night, planning a robbery under the guise of a date.
Surveillance, text messages, and witness statements pointed to a disturbing scheme that ended Jarrell’s life far too soon.
Though Hawkins initially denied involvement, police say she eventually admitted to being at the scene but denied participating in the violence.
When detectives confronted her with messages like âI need moneyâ and plans to âmake a play real fast,â she lawyered up.
Both Hawkins and Winston are now charged with murder and attempted robbery.
They remain in custody without bond.

đ¶ A Father Taken Too Soon
Jarrell Pryorâs greatest joy in life was his 3-year-old daughter, Honey.
Described as loving, funny, and full of potential, Pryor was committed to raising his daughterâeven after separating from her mother.
His family says he never missed a chance to brag about her or buy her tiny Jordans to match his.
âHe always found a way to bring her up in conversation,â said his friend Anijah Randle.
Now, Honey lives with her mother, Jaâhalha Feemster, and her familyâwho are doing their best to keep Jarrellâs memory alive.
âShe looks for him and says, âDa-Da,ââ says her great-grandmother, Patricia Bradshaw. âIt tears us up every time.â

đ Remembering Jarrell Pryor
Jarrell was more than a victimâhe was a performer, a gamer, an entrepreneur at heart, and a man determined to grow.
From selling candy in grade school to dreaming of pro-gaming success, he was a go-getter.
He even once did a full Michael Jackson tribute at school, just for fun.
âHe had so many plans,â said his mother, Tamekia Wiley. âHe was always trying to better himself.â
âïž Seeking Justice, Living With Pain
While the arrests brought some relief, Jarrellâs family says nothing can heal the pain of losing him.
âThey took everything from us,â said his stepdad, Travis Wiley. âAnd they got nothing out of it.â
Even if the suspects are convicted, the grief remains. âNo justice will ever cure my broken heart,â Tamekia shared. âIt wonât bring my baby back.â
As the legal case unfolds, Jarrellâs family is focused on keeping his memory aliveâespecially for Honey.
âI pray for her to have a supernatural memory so she can remember him,â said her grandmother, Nâyalha Feemster.
âBecause we all deserved Jarrell. We absolutely did.â
