Cuba Gooding Jr., the Oscar-winning actor, is once again in legal hot water as two new lawsuits have been filed against him by women alleging separate incidents of groping in 2018 and 2019.

These civil lawsuits, filed in New York Supreme Court, are brought under the state’s Adult Survivors Act, providing a limited window for plaintiffs to file civil claims related to sexual offenses, even if barred by the statute of limitations.

The act is set to expire on November 24.

This development follows Cuba Gooding Jr.’s recent settlement of a lawsuit with a woman accusing him of rape in 2013.

In the 2018 case, a cocktail waitress at LAVO restaurant and nightclub in New York accused Gooding of forcibly kissing her without consent.

The 2019 claim, brought by Kelsey Harbert, alleges that Gooding groped her breast at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge while sitting next to him and his girlfriend.

As previously reported, Cuba Gooding Jr. took a plea deal in these cases to avoid jail time.

During the hearing, he admitted to forcibly kissing the plaintiff in the LAVO case and pleaded guilty to “non-consensual physical contact” in Ms. Harbert’s case.

The plaintiffs, represented by Gloria Allred, are seeking damages for lost wages, emotional distress, punitive damages, liquidated damages, and attorney fees.

Gloria Allred emphasized in a statement, “Our clients were deprived of the justice they sought in the criminal case. They are now seeking justice and accountability in their civil cases. We are proud of their courage and intend to vigorously fight for them until they win the justice that they deserve.”

Despite the ongoing legal challenges and allegations, Cuba Gooding Jr. is still making headlines as the life of the party.

The actor’s legal journey continues, adding complexity to an already intricate legal landscape.
